“Next week Evergreen Park School will be celebrating Family Literacy Day with a full week of fun! The fantastic Mrs. Law has teamed up with members of the Evergreen Park Home and School Association to plan activities and events for all to enjoy! Information was sent by your child’s teacher with information on our weeklong activities and daily events. Please note there is no cost for students to participate in literacy week.

Daily events are as follows:
Monday: “Rainbow Day!” Show your love for reading by getting colourful! How many colors of the rainbow can you wear?
Tuesday: “Canada Day” Let’s celebrate our wonderful country by wearing red and white!
Wednesday: “Extra! Extra! It’s newspaper day!” Celebrate this form of print by wearing black and white.
Thursday: “Kick up your heels for reading!” Wear your most unique and crazy socks or legwarmers. Mix and match for even more fun!
Friday: Dress up as your favourite book character. 3 participants will take home gift cards. Winner will be selected by a random draw.
