Good evening, This message is from Evergreen Park School. This is a friendly reminder that on Monday, April 8th students will be dismissed early due to the solar eclipse. Students in grades k-2 will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m. and students in grades 3-5 will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. The cafeteria will be closed Monday; service will resume on Tuesday. Students will receive their report cards on April 11th. Student-led conferences will take place on Monday, April 15th from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and will resume on Thursday, April 18th from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Students will showcase their portfolios and share activities they have done in class. If you wish to meet with your child’s teacher, please send a request to your child’s teacher and arrangements will be made. Please note the grade 1 teachers will be having parent-teacher interviews only. Our annual Spring Book Fair will be taking place on April 15th-19th. We need volunteers. Please review your child’s progress with him/her and return the comment sheet and envelope to the homeroom teacher. Student-led conferences will take place on Monday, April 15th from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and will resume on Thursday, April 18th from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Your child will showcase their portfolios and share activities they have done in class. If you require a meeting with your child’s teacher, please send a request and the teacher will make the necessary arrangements to meet with you. Good evening, This message is from Evergreen Park School. This is a friendly reminder students stay home on Monday, March 25th.  Teachers will be working on report cards and educational assistants will be participating in professioanl learning. Oulton College Dental Education Center has a special event happening in March/April for children ages 8-14! A community clinic for PIT AND FISSURE SEALANTS. This cavity prevention clinic will take place on March 22nd and April 5th, 2024. There is no charge for this clinic.  The appointments are 1hr in length where the child is assessed for suitability, and a sealant is applied to the teeth which will benefit.Should you wish for your child to participate in this oral health initiative that helps prevent cavities, please contact Tanya at 506-858-8484 for more details or email tchiasson@oultoncollege.com. Good evening, This message is from Evergreen Park School. Cafeteria service will be suspended tomorrow Monday, March 18th due to a problem with the hot water tank. As per government regulations, hot water must be accessible for cafeteria service to be offered. We are scheduled to have a new tank installed tomorrow. All pre-ordered paid lunches will be reimbursed. All students must bring a healthy snack and a lunch tomorrow. A message will be sent if the cafeteria is closed again on Tuesday. As part of our school’s Kindness Week in February, we held our second annual “Great Mac ‘n Cheese Challenge.” Our goal was to collect 1000 boxes of mac ‘n cheese, which was an increase over last year’s goal, and we can proudly say we exceeded that total by collecting 1212 boxes! On Friday, March 1st, the boxes were delivered to the Peter McKee Food Bank. So, a big thank you goes out to all the students and their families, as well as our staff, for so generously donating boxes of mac ‘n cheese to help those less fortunate than us.  Your child’s yearbook is presently being created.
