Good evening,

This message is from Evergreen Park School.

Thank you for a wonderful start to the school year! We appreciate your continued support as we work together to ensure a successful and safe year for all students.

Vital Information Sheets
Thank you to all families who have already returned their child’s Vital Information Sheet.
If you have not yet done so, please return the completed form to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. It is important that you review the information carefully and update any contact information, medical information, emergency contacts, or custody arrangements that may have changed.

School Fees
Please remember to pay your child’s school fees. Payments can be made through SchoolCash Online, by cheque, or by sending cash to the school.

Lunch Program
Please contact Mrs. Panagiotakis if you require a one-time subsidy code. All requests remain confidential.

Breakfast Program
A reminder that our Breakfast Program will begin during the first full week of October. We need more volunteers. If you have been approved by district and have some time to give, please inform the school. We would appreciate your help.

Professional Learning Day
Please note that students will not attend school on Friday, September 18, as staff will be participating in a district Professional Learning Day. These learning opportunities allow staff to strengthen their instructional practices and continue supporting student success.

Meet the Teacher Night
We hope you can join us on Thursday, September 24 at 6:30 p.m.
The evening will begin with a brief general assembly in the gymnasium, including our annual PSSC membership selection.
Following the assembly, parents will have the opportunity to visit their child’s classroom, meet their teacher, and learn about the curriculum, classroom routines, and expectations for the school year.
Please note that Meet the Teacher Night is intended to provide general classroom information. If you would like to discuss your child’s individual needs, progress, or concerns, we kindly ask that you schedule an appointment with your child’s teacher at a later date.
We hope to see all of you there!

Important Safety Reminders
The safety of our students remains our highest priority. We ask all families to carefully follow the procedures below.
Morning Arrival
• Please do not drop off your child before 7:45 a.m., as supervision is not available prior to that time.
• In the Kiss and Ride Lane (located near the main entrance doors):
o Do not pass other vehicles.
o Ensure your child is ready to exit the vehicle quickly.
o Students must exit on the sidewalk side of the vehicle.
• Staff members will be available to assist students from 7:45 a.m. until 8:05 a.m.

Dismissal Procedures
• The Kiss and Ride Lane is reserved only for daycare vans and buses during dismissal.
• Parents picking up students should park in the school’s parking lot using designated parking spaces. You may also park on surrounding streets where permitted by posted signage.
• Please do not stop, park, or leave your vehicle in areas that obstruct traffic flow or create unsafe conditions.
• During dismissal, many students and families are present in the parking lot and surrounding areas. Please reduce your speed, remain vigilant, and follow all traffic guidelines.
• Please do not park in designated accessible parking spaces unless you have a valid permit clearly displayed.

Entering School
• All visitors must sign in at the office before entering the school.
• Beginning on Monday, parents will be asked to leave the playground after dropping off their child. If you wish to remain on school grounds until the bell rings, please wait behind the fence, particularly near the K-2 playground area.

Student Entry Doors
Unless you have been provided with alternate instructions, all students are to enter the building through their designated grade-level doors.
• Kindergarten to Grade 2: K-2 playground doors
• Grades 3 and 4: Grade 3-4 playground doors
• Grade 5: Parking lot entrance doors

Students arriving late must report to the office and sign in before proceeding to their classroom.

Please note that exterior doors are locked after students have entered the building, and the main entrance doors are locked at 8:30 a.m.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. By working together and following these procedures, we can ensure a safe, organized, and successful school year for all students.

Have a wonderful weekend !
Mrs. Antigone Panagiotakis
