School News

On behalf of the Evergreen Park Home and School Association (EPHSA), we are very excited to welcome you to a new school year! The EPHSA is a parent-run organization that supports the students, staff, and administrators of the school. We are also a resource for parents through which you can ask questions and become more a part of the school community. Each year we host multiple events that promote family relationships, offer the students fun experiences, and assist in fundraising for the school. Past events have included: family bingo night, family movie nights, classroom door decorating contests, neighborhood scavenger hunts, a family holiday party, a family fun fair and appreciation events for our fantastic staff. We host several fundraisers each year – which has allowed us to assist the school in purchasing larger items for the school and has also allowed us to purchase “wish list” items for each classroom.  We are looking for new members to join the EPHSA as the more parent volunteers we have, the more we can do! By becoming a member, your contact info will be added to our e-mail list and we will keep you informed of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Please note […]
In accordance with Anglophone East School District policies, we will have 2 fire drills this week.  Please reinforce with your children the importance of remaining calm and being silent during these drills. The breakfast program will begin Tuesday October 1.  Students may enter the cafeteria or front door at 7:45 to eat breakfast in the cafeteria before beginning their day.  Items available include yogurt, cereal, milk, granola/cereal bars, cheese, and occasionally boiled eggs. Remember to always pull up as far as possible in the student drop off zone to allow free flowing traffic on Evergreen Drive. There is no school on Monday September 30 for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Thank you for your attention and understanding.
In accordance with Anglophone East School District policies, we will have several fire drills and a safe drill (lockdown) over the next few weeks.  The first fire drill will be Tuesday, September 17th and the safe drill (lockdown) will take place Thursday, September 19th.   Please reinforce with your children the importance of remaining calm and being silent during these drills.    When dropping off your children at the Kiss and Ride, remember to always pull up as far as possible, to ensure traffic flow on Evergreen Drive.  Have your children ready to disembark quickly, be mindful of your speed and never pass vehicles.  The parking lot is not a drop-off zone. Parents must park and walk their children onto the playground.  Your children’s safety is our number one priority. Please be vigilant when driving around school grounds:  reduce your speed, be careful when backing up and only park in designated areas.  During dismissal, the Kiss and Ride is reserved for daycare busses and vans.  Your cooperation is much appreciated.   We are working on improvements to the parking and traffic flow around the school, we hope to review a finalized plan during Meet the Teacher on September 26th.  Until then, thank […]
