Good evening,
This message is from Evergreen Park School.
This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow, Thursday, December 1st is family movie night. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 6:00 p.m. in the school gym. We will be playing Minions: The Rise of Gru. Admission is $2 dollars per person or $5 dollars per family. Come dressed as a minion to be entered in our prize draw. Feel free to bring blankets or pillows to set up on the gym floor. Lawn chairs can be set up at the back of the gym. A small canteen will be available. Please note parents or guardians must stay with their child for the movie. While here, please visit The Lost and Found tables near the library.
Anglophone East will once again be doing a hybrid campaign for “Fill the Bus 2022”. There will be the original food item collections and we will also offer a virtual campaign this year from November 28th to December 21st. All funds raised will go to School Breakfast Programs through the Food Depot Alimentaire; food items collected will go to foodbank programs throughout our school district.
First term report cards will be sent home tomorrow Thursday, December 1st. Parent-teacher interviews will be held on Thursday, December 8th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and on Friday, December 9th from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Students will stay home on Friday, December 9th.
A New Brunswick student wellness survey will be included with your child’s report card on Thursday, December 1st. By completing this survey, you are helping teachers, schools, districts, and the provincial decision-makers better understand the needs and strengths of students in our school and community. Please use the survey code listed on the bottom right- hand corner of the survey memo. In addition to the survey, you will also find a memo explaining how you can obtain online access to your child’s attendance, school schedule, and report card. To access this information, you will need to follow the steps included in the letter.
On Tuesday, December 13th family and friends of students in grades K-2 are invited to an evening of musical entertainment. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.. If possible, please bring a non-perishable food item and place it in the school bus located in front of the main office. Grades 3-5 will participate in a spring concert in late May 2023.
Please be cognizant that the parking lot is NOT a designated drop off zone. If you choose to use the parking lot you MUST park your vehicle and walk your child to their designated playground. Please be mindful when parking your vehicle. We only have a few accessibility parking spaces in our parking lot that are intended for parents whose children have exceptionalities. If you are using these spaces, your blue placard must be visible. Please reduce your speed and be vigilant when driving in the school’s parking lot.
We respectfully ask parents dropping off their children after 8:00 a.m. to leave their home 5-10 minutes earlier in order to rectify the congestion and tardiness issues. Children can be dropped off as early as 7:40 a.m. and can play while being supervised until 8:00 a.m.
Have a pleasant evening,
Mrs. Panagiotakis
