This message is from Mrs. Fowler, guidance counselor at Evergreen Park School.

This year, EPS students and staff will be celebrating Diversity Month from Monday April 14 until Friday May 9. Diversity Month is a time to celebrate our tremendous diversity, and the many cultures represented in our school. During this month, students may take part in activities, eat delicious food at a classroom food fair, watch informative videos, present a cultural project, and read books, all centered around the topic of diversity.

During Diversity Month, we would like our students to discover and appreciate not only their own culture but also the various cultures, celebrations, foods, etc. of students around them. To that end, we are asking you to complete the questionnaire that we are sending home so we can encourage research and connections with other children.

Please help us by completing both sides of this form, then send it back to your child’s teacher by Tuesday, April 15. Teachers will keep these to inform the activities they do during Diversity Month. Thank you for your support !”
