The Evergreen Park Home and School is excited to host a family movie night on Thursday, October 26th. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 6:00 p.m. in the school gym. We will be playing The Super Mario Bros. movie. Admission is $3 dollars per person or $8 dollars per family. Feel free to bring blankets or pillows to set up on the gym floor. Lawn chairs can be set up at the back of the gym. A small canteen will be available. Please note parents or guardians must stay with their child for the movie. Also, a reminder that holiday catalogue fundraiser orders are due back to school on Friday October 27th. Please ensure you’ve written your child’s name and teacher’s name on the top of the order form.

Picture Day is on Thursday, October 26th and Friday, October 27th. Students in grades K,1, 2 are scheduled to be photographed Thursday. If time permits, some of the grade 3 students will be photographed that day. Remaining grade 3 classrooms, grade 4 and grade 5 students will be photographed on Friday. An exact schedule will be sent home by your child’s teacher by Wednesday.

Evergreen Park School is extremely proud of our grade 5 student, Isu An. A few days ago, we received the results from last year’s end of the year Canadian Kangaroo Math Contest. Isu An obtained first place in the grade 4 division for all the Maritimes. The contest’s main purpose is to promote mathematical thinking and stimulate an interest in math, by providing students with an opportunity to compare their abilities against the abilities of other students, from different countries around the world. Over six million students and hundreds of mathematicians from over 70 countries have competed in the contest world-wide. Congratulations Isu on being a shining example for our EPS North Stars!

Please help us spread the news that there is a meeting on Thursday, November 9th at 4:00 p.m. in the cafeteria for all pre-kindergarten parents that have registered their children to school September 2024. The date has been posted on our school’s website and an email will be sent to them by the end of the week.
