Good evening,

This message is from Evergreen Park School.

Cafeteria service will be suspended tomorrow Monday, March 18th due to a problem with the hot water tank. As per government regulations, hot water must be accessible for cafeteria service to be offered. We are scheduled to have a new tank installed tomorrow. All pre-ordered paid lunches will be reimbursed. All students must bring a healthy snack and a lunch tomorrow. A message will be sent if the cafeteria is closed again on Tuesday.

As part of our school’s Kindness Week in February, we held our second annual “Great Mac ‘n Cheese Challenge.” Our goal was to collect 1000 boxes of mac ‘n cheese, which was an increase over last year’s goal, and we can proudly say we exceeded that total by collecting 1212 boxes! On Friday, March 1st, the boxes were delivered to the Peter McKee Food Bank. So, a big thank you goes out to all the students and their families, as well as our staff, for so generously donating boxes of mac ‘n cheese to help those less fortunate than us.

Your child’s yearbook is presently being created. To purchase a yearbook, please go to the school’s cash online. The cost is $22.00, and all orders must be submitted by March 29th.

A flyer was sent home regarding an afterschool robotics enrichment activity. If you are interested in having your child participate please register at:

NB.SNAPOLOGY.COM

School will be closed on Monday, March 25th. Teachers will be working on report cards in the morning and attending professional learning in the afternoon.

This is a friendly reminder to please be vigilant when driving in the Kiss and Ride and the school parking lot. Please reduce your speed and be cognizant of all the students and parents walking along these areas. Please respect the school’s parking expectations on the premises as well as the signage for parking on the streets near the school.

Have a restful evening and a wonderful week,

Mrs. Antigone Panagiotakis
