Good evening,

This email is from Evergreen Parks School.

The Evergreen Park Home and School Association is excited to host a family movie night on Friday February 24th. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 6:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium. We will be playing the newly released movie Lyle, Lyle Crocodile. Admission is $2 dollars per person or $5 dollars per family. Feel free to bring blankets or pillows to set up on the gymnasium floor. Lawn chairs can be set up at the back of the gymnasium. A small canteen will be available. Please note parents or guardians must stay with their child for the movie. 50/50 tickets will also be sold.

This coming week, February 21-24, is Kindness Week at Evergreen Park School. During this week students will be encouraged to be extra kind to themselves and others around them while taking part in activities and discussions around the topic of kindness. We will also be discussing kindness in terms of helping people in our community who may be experiencing difficulties with food insecurity. To that end, we will be running the Great Mac ‘n’ Cheese Challenge where we are asking our students and staff, if possible, to bring in a box of Mac ‘n’ Cheese for donation to the food bank. The Mac ‘n’ Cheese Challenge will run from Tuesday Feb. 21 until Thursday March 2. Our goal is to be able to donate at least 250 boxes of Mac ‘n’ Cheese. Thank you for your support of Kindness Week and the Great Mac ‘n’ Cheese Challenge.

Please continue to be mindful when driving in the school’s parking lot.  A friendly reminder that you should only park in designated areas.  Your cooperation is appreciated.  Let’s continue to work together to keep everyone safe.

Have a great evening,

Mrs. Antigone Panagiotakis
