Good evening EPS Families,

As we move into the festive season, we want to take a moment to share some important reminders and updates to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, as well as keep you informed about upcoming events.

Safety First

  • Parking Near Crosswalks:
Please avoid parking close to crosswalks, as this creates dangerous situations for children trying to cross the street. A particular area of concern is the intersection of Rennick and Brockton, where there is no designated crossing guard. Your cooperation helps keep our students safe.
  • Speed on School Grounds:
We kindly ask all drivers to slow down when entering and driving through school property. Safety is our top priority.
  • Kiss and Ride Procedures:
For everyone’s safety, do not pass any vehicle while dropping off your child at the Kiss and Ride. During dismissal, the Kiss and Ride is reserved for daycare vans and buses.
  • Morning Drop-Off:
For safety reasons, students should not be dropped off before 7:45 AM, as supervision begins at that time. Please plan accordingly.
  • Parking Guidelines:
When picking up your child, please park either on the street where signage permits or in the school parking lot in designated parking spots and never park in disabled spots unless you have a visible permit.

Winter Clothing Donations
As the temperatures continue to drop, please ensure your child is dressed warmly for outdoor activities. If you have gently used winter jackets, snow pants, boots, gloves, scarves, or hats, we would greatly appreciate your donations to help families in need.

Upcoming Events

Annual Christmas Concert:
Join us on Tuesday, December 16th for a wonderful evening of music as our Grade 3–5 students share the joy of the season. Doors open at 6:15 PM. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to support our Fill the Bus Food Campaign.

Cafeteria Service:
The cafeteria will close after Thursday, December 18th and resume service on Monday, January 5th.

Christmas Break:
Last day of school: Friday, December 19th
Classes resume: Monday, January 5th, 202

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support in keeping our students safe. We look forward to celebrating the season with you and your families.

Have a restful and joyful weekend,
Mrs. Antigone Panagiotakis
