The list below is intended as a starting point for resources and services available in the Moncton area. If you have any questions or concerns about this list, please contact:

Access to Healthcare

►  Patient Connect NB (gnb.ca)

Patient Connect NB is a provincially managed, bilingual patient registry for New Brunswickers without access to a primary health care provider (family doctor or nurse practitioner).

New Brunswickers without a provider can register with Patient Connect NB and will be assigned to a provider on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you are referred to their practice, the Primary Care Provider’s office will contact you directly.

►  NB Health Link

Patients who are on the Patient Connect NB registry and do not have a provider will be eligible for NB Health Link. This program provides access to health care for New Brunswickers while they wait for a permanent provider (family physician or nurse practitioner). It gives patients access to a network of family physicians and nurse practitioners throughout the province offering in-person, telephone and online appointments in both official languages.

►  Tele-Care 811 Service

Tele-Care is a free and confidential provincial health information and advice line available to all New Brunswickers. By dialing 811 at any time of the day or night, you will gain access to bilingual intake navigators and registered nurses, who will help you find health information and services, discuss symptoms and recommend whether you should be seen by a provider.

►  811 Online Symptom Checker (gnb.ca)

The 811 online Symptom Checker provided by GNB can be used to learn: how serious your symptoms are, if a healthcare visit is needed, and what steps you can take to relieve your symptoms at home.

►  eVisitNB

New Brunswick offers Video, Phone or Messaging Consultation with a doctor or nurse practitioner for common illnesses, injuries and mental health concerns. The cost is covered by NB Medicare and can replace use of a walk-in clinic or other in-person health visit.

►  Walk-in Clinic Locations – New Brunswick Medical Society

The New Brunswick Medical Society offers the most up-to-date list of Walk-In Clinics available in the region. Walk-in clinics provide care for New Brunswick patients with non-urgent medical problems who do not have a family physician or who are unable to obtain an appointment with their family physician within a reasonable time frame. Walk-in clinics serve patients on a first-come, first-serve basis, providing non-urgent medical care outside regular office hours and generally requiring patients to make appointments.
